Are you interested in teaching music part-time? This is a wonderful opportunity to get experience or simply experience the joy of teaching music in an Orthodox school. We have  small classes and wonderful children to teach. We ask  that you have an understanding of Orthodox music (Liturgical cycle), the fundamentals of teaching elementary children and a love for sharing your God-given talent . We have a music curriculum that will help guide you but we do encourage  creativity.
Also, we are looking for a full time elementary teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. You would begin training in March 2011. Our wonderful teacher Miss Lana Giourgalis is getting married and moving out of the Warren area. We will miss her greatly!

  • You are a communicant Orthodox Christian dedicated to your life in the Church and to raising up younger generations in a love of learning and Orthodox life as well as an optimistic outlook on life
  • You hold a BA or equivalent university degree, or a higher-level degree (a degree in Education, or specific teaching credential, is not required but is of added benefit)
  • You can commit to a full year of teaching at either part or full time (please note that most of our new posts will be part time)
  • You either currently live in the Tri-County Area or are intending / willing to relocate to the area, within a suitable distance for a daily commute to and from the Academy
  • You are legally entitled to work in the United States of America, and have no criminal convictions or other personal record which makes it impossible for you to work with children, and are willing to submit to a routine background check to verify such details
