January 2011 - St. Nicholas Orthodox Church donated $1,000.00 to Holy Trinity Academy.  After the first of the year, the church board of directors came together and selflessly gave the school funds for basic operational costs.
As folks may of may not be aware, Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Academy and Preschool is a private school that receives no public funding and is the only Orthodox Christian school remaining in the State of Ohio.  Private school institutions cannot receive public funds from federal, state or local levels because of the religious nature of the school, thus all funding must be privately raised by tuitions, fundraising, or by donations.
The students, staff and administration of Holy Trinity gives their sincere gratitude to Saint Nicholas church for their generosity and ongoing support on this Orthodox mission.  Parishioners and parents are always welcome to visit the school at 175 Laird Avenue NE (second floor) in Warren, Ohio (map).  We believe that Holy Trinity is a worthy mission that involves all Orthodox Christians as it nurtures the next generation who ultimately is the future of the church.
God Bless you all for your generosity and for keeping us in your prayers!
