Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church Patronal Banquet

December 5th, 2010 - Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church of Warren, Ohio held their annual patronal banquet.  Parishioners and friends from the area came together in support of St. Nicholas and shared in good Christian fellowship.
Not only was there a fantastic lunch, there was also the children's Nativity play.  Thanks to Mrs. Renay Choma and her family, they were able to put together a very sweet and funny performance for everyone in attendance.
The kitchen crew worked very hard to provide a wonderful and delicious stuffed pork lunch, whom then served and cleaned throughout the afternoon.  After they had donated the food and their precious time, all they asked for was a free-will offering.
With the kitchen crew still not yet finished with their generosity, all the proceeds from the free-will offering then went to Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Academy and Preschool.  A total of $645.00
was collected and donated to the school.  While supporters of Holy Trinity may
know, we receive no public funding being a private school, and we rely entirely on tuitions, fundraisers and donations.  So understandably, this donation becomes that much more appreciated to the staff and students.
A thank-you letter from Holy Trinity was written to the church, which reads...
"Dear Father Ken, Pani Mary, and Parishioners of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church,
Holy Trinity Academy would like to sincerely thank you for your support during the Nativity season. The St. Nicholas dinner was delicious! Parishioners gave a free will offering of $645.00. This is a BIG Christmas gift to the staff and students of Holy Trinity.
The kitchen crew preps, cooks, serves, and cleans for the dinner…Never asking for help from the staff or families of Holy Trinity on this special day. Thank you very much for this wonderful gift of rest!
Also, a special thank you to Pani Mary for preparing gifts for all the children of St. Nicholas Church and Holy Trinity students for the Feast Day of St. Nicholas!
We sincerely appreciate every effort put into keeping Holy Trinity Academy flourishing. May God bless you and yours 100 fold!
In Christ,

Holy Trinity Academy and Board Members"
